Parish Collective Comes to Town
I had the great opportunity to attend the Parish Collective - Seattle event Sunday evening. Highlighting as the centerpiece of the workshop was a presentation by Michael Frost. He shared keen insights how the church can and should embed itself in place, geography all to build community, to bless, and to be blessed by neighbors.
Also part of the evening were a series of charrettes involving local church/community practioners sharing in dialogue with one another, the significance of what Frost had just presented. They shared their own successes and challenges.
In a way, this evening was a "kick-off" with a greater focus on how to 'root and link' together for the sake of our neighbors and neighborhoods.
